Let’s celebrate life!
After the Winter Solstice and Christmas, it is ideal to take time to taje a pause, cultivate tranquility and silence, reflect and go within. The darkness of winter is an invitation to slow down our rhythms, listen deeply and learn from what has been lived. Depending on the perspective we look at it, we can celebrate life and cultívate gratitude.
We invite you to come to Celebrate the New Year’s Eve and the beginning of the New Year! Come to connect with nature, open your heart and cultivate balance in your life. We have designed a retreat to celebrate life on all levels:
Who is this retreat for?
For all those who want to celebrate the New Year in a different way, regardless of their physical condition, level of practice or age. Because the practice of yoga is for everyone.
During these days we will practice daily:
All meals made with love in our vegetarian kitchen.
4 nights of accommodation (except the 'without accommodation option').
3 guided meditation sessions.
4 yoga and movement classes.
2 satsangs.
New Year’s Eve celebration.
1 tea ceremony.
2 guided meditative hikes.
1 or 2 meditative long hike of half day in Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park. If the weather conditions allows it one of them will be with snowshoeing.
All taxes, public liability and accident insurance for activities: hiking and yoga.
Snowshoes rental.
Yoga classes are for all levels of practice. The sessions combine Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga principles, as well as movement and mobility exercises.
There is one yoga class per day. The classes are usually dynamic, except after the long meditative hikes there are gentle yoga classes.
Yoga classes are progressive, variations for different levels of practice and particular limitations are always offered.
Meditative walks and hikes are esencial practices in our retreats. They are very simple and accesible for everyone. They help us to understand, through experience, our deep connection with nature.
It makes us notice in each step and in each breath, that the energy that exist inside us it is just the same as the energy that exists out there. Nature is our greatest teacher, silence and deep listening helps us enrich the experience She offers.
There will be a daily 90 minute meditative walk in nature, opening the senses and developing mindfulness.
One day will be dedicated to meditative hiking, starting just after breakfast and coming back for a gentle yoga session. It is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the wonders of the the Ordesa National Park or surrounding areas.
It is already a tradition at Casa Cuadrau to celebrate New Year’s Eve with a sunset meditation and a very special dinner, followed by a ceremony and a small party. The next day we also celebrate the beginning of the New Year by meditating with the sunrise. Then we will continue with a very balanced program to enjoy the silence of the winter mountains and the company of like-minded people.
This retreat came about after listening to the request of many of you who have come to our retreats on several occasions and are in the quest to celebrate this special date in a more meaningful and profound way.
We look forward to share this great celebration with you!
Everyday there will be guided meditation sessions, in the morning and some nights before going to sleep. The best way to start and finish the day.
We practice simple techniques that are easy to carry on at home. We use universal elements to all of us as concentration objects, such as the breath, the body sensations, sounds, etc.
A moment of silence to connect with nature, with yourself and with the group. Sharing a bowl of “living tea” we deepen all the richness that dwells in “the way of tea” (Cha Dao).
We give ourselves the opportunity to make from something ordinary something extraordinary and full of meaning.
In Sanskrit, Sat means truth and Sang means group or community.
Satsang is a gathering to share our concerns, questions, and our deepest insights. It is also a time to meditate together, contemplate nature and sing meditative songs or mantras.
Karma Yoga is Yoga in action = finding skillfulness and integration in any action.
We bring the principles of Yoga in everything we do. We invite you to practice Karma Yoga by helping us with simple tasks of the house as fetching water from the fountain, chopping vegetables, drying dishes, etc.
