Tu Alma en Voz II: Voice & Nature Retreat with Api Ascaso

Voice & Nature Retreat

with Api Ascaso

June 11 - 16, 2025

- Spanish Pyrenees -

A retreat to immerse in the healing vibrations of sound and nature.

Following the incredible success we had last June, "Tu Alma en Voz" is coming back this summer 2025 with even more magical additions.

Music will be the golden thread that unites it all

“Tu Alma en Voz II” (Your Soul in Voice) is an opportunity to spend 4 full days and 2 half days (5 nights) immersed in the healing vibrations of sound and impressive nature in the South face of the Pyrenees, Huesca, Spain.

This retreat has a deep focus on empowering you to use of your voice and your musical expressions as a tool for awareness of your inner self and healing, in deep relationship with the elements and nature. What it’s out there, it’s within.

We’ll dive in to find your true essence and recognise your unique vibration from where we express ourselves, manifest and contribute to this mantle of life.

We will learn how to use sound to unlock, release and liberate emotions.

You’ll have the opportunity to engage in several exploratory sonic adventures, connect to your body, move freely, breath with awareness, sing in harmony, improvise and experiment with sound, play different instruments, share your songs, jam with other people, learn new songs…

Some of the offering that will be held:

  • Welcoming fire ceremony: introduction to the group and the land, intention setting, clearing and calling the warm light within.

  • Early Morning meditation, breathwork, movement and QiGong practice, welcoming the wisdom of Chinese Medicine and the elements to balance our energy and re-stablish health.

  • 4 Voice Activation sessions, each session dedicated to one element (water, air, earth and fire). In these sessions we will embody the wisdom of these elements as well as learning basic tips to find your voice and look after it.

  • Learn how to incorporate sound in your daily practice. We’ll share some of the Chinese healing sounds, chakra sound system and basics of Nada Yoga.

  • Circle singing: you’ll be guided into spontaneous group singing where the pieces are created on the spot and any unexpected sound scape can be created.

Creativity and fun in the shape of music!

  • Swim in the natural pools. We will run a water ceremony in these clean mountain waters to honour this element, the memories that carries within and get the support to wash off any blockages and fears that do not serve us anymore.

  • Hike to the top of the mountain, guided a local guide and expert on nature. A stunning view point where you’ll be embraced and very likely feel speechless by the majesty of this land. We will run a “Despacho”, an ancient Inca offering to the Apus (spirits of the mountains) where you will be invited to leave behind those parts of yourself that do not serve you anymore.

  • Work in small groups to create musical pieces, learning the basics of jamming and music structure.

  • An in the intimacy of the dark evenings – 4 nights where you can immerse yourself into:

1.Cacao ceremony: Heart centred celebration connecting to the joy of being alive.

The drums will lead the way of the heart beat, the one heart beat. Drum drum drum!

2.Melt into your subconscious land through blue lotus whispers, sound and gong bath, going to sleep after to explore lucid dreaming.

3.Song circle where we will all be invited to share a song.

4.Final night music jam around the fire with the work you have been doing during the retreat.

5.If the weather allows, the night owls can join me for a night walk to witness the immensity of the night sky. Singing to the stars.

Learn +20 songs

  • You will learn some songs from different parts of the world during the retreat. But there’s potential for learning more than 20 songs if we all contribute to it. I will kindly ask that you commit to bring a song that you know and may be willing to share with all on the last night music jam. It’s an invitation, why not? Together we’ll co-create a song book helping to increase our repertoire.
  • Individual support is available before, during and after the retreat, if and when needed.
