After the Winter Solstice and Christmas, we invite you to take some time to cultivate connection with nature and time to reflect in all what is left behind. The darkness of winter is an invitation to slow down our pace, listen deeply, and learn from our experiences. Depending on our perspective, we can celebrate and be grateful for life.
Come Celebrate the end of the year and the beginning of the New Year!
Through connection with nature, mindful body movement, and music, we will create a space where we can cultivate and share from a place of vulnerability, where the heart feels tender and open. From this place, we can welcome a new year full of opportunities, experiences, and lessons to explore.
A retreat to celebrate life to the fullest:
For everyone, regardless of physical condition, level of practice or age. Because yoga practice is for everyone.
During these days we will practice daily:
Casa Cuadrau is a Social Interest Cooperative Society. And want our programs to be accessible to everyone, regardless of their economic situation.

Basic: Covers the essential costs of your retreat.
Sustainable: This rate fully covers your retreat costs and contributes towards facility maintenance and the karma yoga program.

Yoga classes are for all levels of practice. The sessions combine Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga principles, as well as movement and mobility exercises.
There is one yoga class per day. The classes are usually dynamic, except after the long meditative hikes there are gentle yoga classes (yin yoga).
Yoga classes are progressive, variations for different levels of practice and particular limitations are always offered.
Somatic movement
Somatic movement helps us relax muscle tension and soothe our nervous system in a safe, effective, subtle and profound way.
The practice involves bringing attention to the body from within, connecting with the earth that lives in us
Everyday there will be guided meditation sessions, in the morning. The best way to start the day.
We practice simple techniques that are easy to carry on at home. We use universal elements to all of us as concentration objects, such as the breath, the body sensations, sounds, etc.
Meditative walks and hikes are esencial practices in our retreats. They are very simple and accesible for everyone.
They help us to understand, through experience, our deep connection with nature. It makes us notice in each step and in each breath, that the energy that exist inside us it is just the same as the energy that exists out there.
Nature is our greatest teacher. Silence and deep listening helps us enrich the experience She offers.
There will be a daily 90 minute meditative walk in nature, opening the senses and developing mindfulness.
A day will be dedicated to meditative hiking, starting just after breakfast and coming back for a gentle yoga session. It is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the wonders of the the Ordesa National Park or surrounding areas.
*If we have the right weather conditions, one snowshoe excursion will be offered with bus service included to Miradores de Ordesa.
It is already a tradition at Casa Cuadrau to celebrate the New Year with a meditation at sunset, a very special dinner, followed by a New Year’s Eve ritual and a celebration with music and dance.
The next day we also celebrate the New Year by meditating at sunrise with a Tea Ceremony. It is a with a very balanced program to enjoy the silence of the winter mountains and the meeting with like-minded people.
This retreat was designed after listening to the request of many of you who have come to our retreats on several occasions and are in that search to celebrate in a more special, meaningful and profound way the beginning of the year.
We look forward to sharing this great celebration with you!
In Sanskrit, Sat means truth and Sang means group or community. Satsang is a gathering to share our concerns, questions, and our deepest insights. It is also a time to meditate together, contemplate nature and sing meditative songs or mantras.
A moment of silence to connect with nature, with yourself and with the group. Sharing a bowl of “living tea” we deepen all the richness that dwells in “the way of tea” (Cha Dao).
We give ourselves the opportunity to make from something ordinary something extraordinary and full of meaning.
