Biodynamic agriculture is the precursor to organic or bio agriculture. It is an agriculture that respects the environment and its task is to heal the land and produce healthy food, full of life.
With Biodynamic methods, we grow to feed the whole human being in all its aspects, physical, emotional and spiritual.
Once on the table, the techniques and materials that we mindfully use in the kitchen can help us to ensure that the food retains most of its potential, both in terms of nutrients, vitamins and antioxidants, as well as its vitality.
The diet that we will propose is based on natural products free of all residues, agrochemicals and other products that can harm our health physically and emotionally.
For everyone, regardless of physical condition, level of practice or age. Because yoga practice is for everyone. During these days we will practice daily:

Yoga asana classes are for all levels of practice. Yoga classes are progressive, variations are always offered for different levels of practice and particular limitations.
Some sessions combine principles Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa and movement and mobility exercises. After the long hike, Yin Yoga or gentle yoga sessions will be offered. A therapeutic and meditative yoga, in which the main objective is to relax physically and mentally and let go of the self-demandingness and the need for control.
The first few days will be devoted to an introduction to biodynamic agriculture.
This type of agriculture aims to heal the earth and produce healthy and life-filled food. To do this, it uses biodynamic preparations and takes into account cosmic processes, especially the moon, in all its agricultural work, such as preparing the land, managing the plants, sowing, harvesting, pruning, etc.
With this method we work for harmonious coexistence between the kingdoms of Nature: mineral, plant, animal and human, creating health in the environment, providing local food and building societies of free human beings.
The benefits we get from using this type of agriculture consist of harvesting products full of life and nutrients that are also free of toxins and agrochemical residues. And at the same time, taking care of the earth, so that it does lose fertility and can continue to provide us with those foods that bring us health. And in the same way, respecting animals on farms, giving them a dignified life.
Then we will begin to learn about mindful eating and healthy cooking.
The cooking that Julio Arroyo will share is based on natural products free of all residues, agrochemicals and other products that can harm our health, physically and emotionally.
It is very important that when transforming food we take great care in cooking techniques and take care of the materials we use, so that the ingredients retain most of their potential, both nutrients and vitamins and antioxidants, as well as their ability to give us life, their vitality.
To achieve this we use cooking techniques that are respectful of the raw materials we use and above all knowing the complex and interesting biochemistry of our organism when it comes to taking advantage of the nutrients in our food.

Meditative walks and hikes are esencial practices in our retreats. They are very simple and accesible for everyone.
They help us to understand, through experience, our deep connection with nature. It makes us notice in each step and in each breath, that the energy that exist inside us it is just the same as the energy that exists out there.
Nature is our greatest teacher. Silence and deep listening helps us enrich the experience She offers.
There will be a daily 90 minute meditative walk and time in nature to do meditative exercise such as Qigong or gentle yoga movements, opening the senses and developing mindfulness.
Two days will be dedicated to meditative hiking, starting just after breakfast and coming back for a gentle yoga session. It is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the wonders of the the Ordesa National Park and the Sobrarbe-Pyrenees UNESCO Global Geopark.
Everyday there will be guided meditation sessions after the yoga class.
We practice simple techniques that are easy to carry on at home. We use universal elements to all of us as concentration objects, such as the breath, the body sensations, sounds, etc.
A moment of silence to connect with nature, with yourself and with the group. Sharing a bowl of “living tea” we deepen all the richness that dwells in “the way of tea” (Cha Dao).
We give ourselves the opportunity to make from something ordinary something extraordinary and full of meaning.
In Sanskrit, Sat means truth and Sang means group or community. Satsang is a gathering to share our concerns, questions, and our deepest insights. It is also a time to meditate together, contemplate nature and sing meditative songs or mantras.
Karma Yoga is Yoga in action = finding skillfulness and integration in any action.
We bring the principles of Yoga in everything we do. We invite you to practice Karma Yoga by helping us with simple tasks of the house as fetching water from the fountain, chopping vegetables, drying dishes, etc.
We believe that true health is everything we do to bring harmony to the physical body, mind, heart and to all the beings around us: WELL-BEING.
Your stay at Casa Cuadrau is a perfect opportunity to practice a mindful and respectful living with yourself and the environment.
Coming to our home for a few days is also giving you the opportunity to live in an Ecological and Sustainable House. You will be able to learn or deepen practices that help you cultivate a greater connection with Nature, our great teacher, and enjoy the wonders of the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park and the UNESCO Sobrarbe-Pirineos Geopark.
We are part of the Spanish Ecotourism Association “Soy Ecoturista“ and our activities inside and outside the house are aligned with sustainable, mindful and respectful tourism, offering experiences to contribute to local development and the conservation of the geodiversity and biodiversity of the territory.
The course begins on Sunday, April 27th at 4pm. Check in from 15:30 to 16:30h. Afterwards there will be a yoga class and orientation, followed by dinner and the opening of the retreat. The retreat ends on Sunday, May 4th at 12pm, after brunch.
