Awaken your sensitivity and creativity with some days of rest and inspiration in the mountains.

May Easter be an opportunity to tune in with Mother Nature and with her Spring energy of life and creativity. This retreat is designed to allow you to breathe deeply and find your own rhythm, (re)connecting with the creative power that lives within nature and in all of us.

Treat yourself to some relaxing days in the heart of the Pyrenees where you will:

  • Pause and listen to yourself deeply.
  • Integrate the practical teachings of Yoga and meditation into every aspect of your life.
  • Delve into nature, contemplate it, breathe it, be inspired by its beauty and move with it.

Who is this retreat for?

For everyone, regardless of physical condition, level of practice or age. Because yoga practice is for everyone and everybody.

During these days we will practice daily:

  • movement sessions in nature
  • meditative hiking
  • yoga asana sessions
  • meditation
  • movement techniques such as Body Weather, Katsugen Undo, Yuki, among others.

Rates include

All meals made with love in our vegetarian kitchen.
4 nights of accommodation.

Casa Cuadrau is a Social Interest Cooperative Society. And want our programs to be accessible to everyone, regardless of their economic situation.

We propose scale rates, where contributions are variable, according to the economic possibilities of each person.

They operate based on trust, solidarity and reciprocity.

Rates vary depending on the type of accommodation:

Assisted: For those in need of financial assistance. This rate is available through the generosity of other retreatants. Limited availability.

Basic: Covers the essential costs of your retreat.

Sustainable: This rate fully covers your retreat costs and contributes towards facility maintenance and the karma yoga program.

Generous: in addition to covering your retreat costs, your contribution helps sustain assisted rates, fund the landscaping project, and future projects, and the social programs we run. This is just a reference, the sky is the limit.

Minimum rates are available for the dormitory or “no accommodation” option, if you stay in your van.

To reserve, you will only have to make a payment of 200 euros as a deposit.
You can make the remaining payment at the end of the retreat with credit card or cash.

At the end of the retreat we will open a space for donations. With your generosity you are supporting Casa Cuadrau (Cooperative of Social Interest) and its team. You are also enabling other fellow practitioners, who are in a more difficult financial situation, to attend our programmes.

Activities

Yoga classes are for all levels of practice.  The sesiones are based on principles of Kashmir Yoga.

In this practice, the asanas are special moments in which we sense the tranquility that lies at the heart of all life. Time between the asana practice is dedicated to meditation allowing us space to familiarize ourselves with our body’s natural absorption and vibrational state that arises unexpectedly during these moments.

We will explore the body just as it is in each moment – any areas where we feel emptiness, tension or reaction. Allowing deep listening to become the guiding principle, without expecting anything in return.

Meditative walks and hikes are esencial practices in our retreats. They are very simple and accesible for everyone.

They help us to understand, through experience, our deep connection with nature. It makes us notice in each step and in each breath, that the energy that exist inside us it is just the same as the energy that exists out there.

Nature is our greatest teacher. Silence and deep listening helps us enrich the experience She offers.

There will be a daily 90 minute meditative walk in nature, opening the senses and developing mindfulness.

One day will be dedicated to meditative hiking, starting just after breakfast and coming back for a gentle yoga session. It is a perfect opportunity to enjoy the wonders of the the Ordesa National Park or surrounding areas.

 

Everyday there will be guided meditation sessions, in the morning and some nights before going to sleep. The best way to start and finish the day.

We practice simple techniques that are easy to carry on at home. We use universal elements to all of us as concentration objects, such as the breath, the body sensations, sounds, etc.

Daily circumstances are full of wonder if one encounters the serenity to observe them in silence. And being conscious that we a part of something bigger, maybe infinite is mind blowing.

Life is movement. No matter how small or slow, this constant and continuous vibration is present in every cell that forms part of the Universe. So the Universe breathing is also present in our bodies. Looking deeply this movement, a beautiful dance in itself, arises the same awe that in a child watching the sky.

In the movement sessions we will explore movement techniques such as Body Weather, Katsugen Undo, Yuki, among others.

Everyday from the end of the evening Satsang until after lunch the following morning, we cultivate joyful silence in the house. This deep silence is very healing for calming the mind and being in peace with ourselves, allowing us to deeply listen to ourselves. We will have a restful sleep and the next day we will enjoy the silence with mental clarity during our asana practice, meditation and other activities. Breakfast will be taken mindfully and in silence. By participating in this period of joyful silence we will be supporting each other in our practice.

Throughout the afternoon we will enjoy conscious speaking and deep listening, which will allow us to get to know each other in a more authentic way.

In Sanskrit, Sat means truth and Sang means group or community. Satsang is a gathering to share our concerns, questions, and our deepest insights. It is also a time to meditate together, contemplate nature and sing meditative songs or mantras.

Karma Yoga is Yoga in action = finding skillfulness and integration in any action.

We bring the principles of Yoga in everything we do. We invite you to practice Karma Yoga by helping us with simple tasks of the house as fetching water from the fountain, chopping vegetables, drying dishes, etc.

Coming to our home for a few days is also giving you the opportunity to live in an Ecological and Sustainable House. You will be able to learn or deepen practices that help you cultivate a greater connection with Nature, our great teacher, and enjoy the wonders of the Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park and the UNESCO Sobrarbe-Pirineos Geopark.

We are part of the Spanish Ecotourism Association “Soy Ecoturista and our activities inside and outside the house are aligned with sustainable, mindful and respectful tourism, offering experiences to contribute to local development and the conservation of the geodiversity and biodiversity of the territory.

Duration

The retreat starts on Wednesday, April 16th.
Check-in is from 15 to 16:30h. Then, there an introduction, followed by a dinner and an opening of the retreat. The retreat finishes on Sunday, April 20th at 12:30h, after brunch.
